Gecko Solar services the Greater South East Queensland market, this includes the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and Whitsundays Coast. Solar power can usually be installed in either new or existing homes. We are more than happy to provide a quotation at your request, we can usually do this without visiting your property, We do this by way of phone consultation with our technicians, this in conjunction with the use of the latest satellite imaging allows us to quickly determine the suitability of your roof. Quotes can usually be provided same day as requested.
Solar modules are mounted on your roof, these convert the sun's light into Dc electricity, this electricity is then changed by a inverter to standard 240 volt Ac electricity, the same as your appliance's use in your home. The inverter's output is then wired by our fully qualified electrician into your existing Ac switchboard. Power is then made available to your house from the solar modules with any excess generation sent out to the mains grid via a meter, the amount metered, will then credited back to your electricity bill automatically. The system is designed to last over 25 years, operates silently and is fully automatic, and requires next to no maintenance.

Solar Credits
Solar Credits will apply to new installations of small-scale renewable energy generators eligible under the scheme. Solar credits will apply to the first 1.5 kilowatts (kW) of capacity installed. Generation from capacity above 1.5 kW will still be eligible for the standard 1:1 rate of RECs creation. The credits will only apply to the first small-scale generation system installed at an address.
